The purpose of the single's ministry is to encourage, strengthen, and build fellowship with God and one another. This will be accomplished through fasting, praying and being hearers and doers of the word of God.
Peter 3:11, "Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and Godliness..." is our foundational theme. Practicing the teachings of Jesus Christ will clearly make him our focus.
We believe it is possible to be single and happy with life. Sometimes we make the mistake of depending on a spouse to make us whole. It is always better to be married to Christ before marrying a man or woman. The apostle Paul put higher emphasis on the single life as opposed to the married life due to the advantage of serving the Lord without the cares of marriage (I Corinthians 7).
The CLM SINGLES MINISTRY was birthed in Bishop John and Pastor Lois Washington and is now assigned to Renee Best. Our first meeting was held on March 18, 2000. Our goal is to empower singles to become strong and powerful leaders in the Kingdom of God.
