It is truly a blessing to be able to share with you a vision that was birthed in my spirit over a year ago. The vision was of a grandiose, regal fellowship of the saints; a social extravaganza where the ambiance was enlivened by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
I envisioned saints at a black-tie affair, Sisters-in-Christ adorned in elegant gowns, Brothers-in-Christ donned in the finest suits-even tuxedos, wholesome laughter, music and dancing, an evening saints would surely enjoy as our Heavenly Father tapped His foot, and smiled upon us in loving approval.
As the child of a preacher, I grew up with a clear understanding of everything Christians were not supposed to do. Consequently, I frequently focused on what I believed I was missing rather than on what I had gained as a child in the Kingdom of God.
As the mother of two young boys, it has been important to emphasize the joys of Christian living. My husband, Charles, and I agree that our lives in Christ are far more rewarding than the lives we led in the world. Both of us want our lives as a man and woman of God to be a testimony to our children, to those who are unsaved, and to those who are saved, but are afraid to experience the fullness of joy in Christ. Serving God is not about what you can not do, but what you can do through Christ Jesus.
The Christian Ball is a God-inspired vision. It is an opportunity for Christian couples and singles to further enjoy life in the Kingdom, to fellowship with other brothers and sisters on fire for God, to enjoy music and dance in atmosphere pleasing to the Father.
